Spray drying technology is a commonly used drying process, which uses hot air to evaporate water by spraying a liquid solution into fine particles, thereby obtaining a dry powder or granular product.
Spray drying technology is a common drying method, widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. Its working principle is to spray the liquid solution or suspension into tiny droplets through a high-pressure sprayer, and then let these tiny droplets fully contact with hot air in the drying tower to evaporate the water, and finally get a dry powder or granular product.
In the spray drying equipment, the liquid is sprayed into the drying chamber at a constant speed through the nozzle to form tiny droplets. At the same time, the hot air of high temperature is sprayed from the bottom or side of the drying chamber, and makes instantaneous contact with the droplets, so that the water on the surface of the droplets evaporates. In the process of continuous descent, a dry powder or granular product is finally formed, and the water vapor that is not completely dried is discharged together with the exhaust gas.
Spray drying technology has the advantages of fast drying speed, low energy consumption and easy control, and is suitable for occasions with high requirements on product form, particle size and water content. At the same time, spray drying technology also has certain limitations, such as high requirements for raw material properties and process parameters, and is easily affected by factors such as raw material viscosity and solution concentration. Therefore, in industrial production, it is necessary to select the appropriate drying method according to the specific situation to obtain the best effect.
